Military spouse entrepreneurship organization

Transforming a military spouse entrepreneurship organization through strategic guidance

A growing freemium membership was not converting, and the brand no longer matched the mission. Interactive strategy sessions rebuilt personas, onboarding, and the offer ladder.

Outcome

A member journey built to convert free members into paying ones

Timeline

Series of strategy sessions

Scope

  • Customer persona definition
  • Brand refinement
  • Member journey and onboarding redesign
  • Email segmentation plan and offer positioning
01

The challenge

Member conversion: free members were not translating into paid memberships.

Brand cohesion: a fragmented identity that no longer reflected the evolving mission.

Audience understanding: military spouses at very different entrepreneurial stages, with different needs.

Resource allocation: no streamlined, sustainable way to manage content and marketing.

02

The approach

We identified three primary personas representing different entrepreneurial stages, then integrated the founder's personality into the brand narrative to restore authenticity.

The onboarding sequence was reconstructed to address each segment's distinct needs, and email campaigns were planned around those same segments.

High-ticket offers were repositioned as transformational experiences rather than upgraded feature tiers.

03

Results

  • 01A clearer brand identity aligning mission with member needs
  • 02A refined customer journey increasing the likelihood of free-to-paid conversion
  • 03Improved email engagement through segmented, purpose-driven campaigns
  • 04A blueprint for using existing resources to sustain the content ecosystem
